The device can be used as a converter (RS232 / RS485) or as a repeater for RS-485 networks (2-wire and 4-wire). Both RS485 interfaces (in the direction of master and direction Slave) can stick alternatively about a RJ11/RJ45 plug or about puttable screwing terminals. From the outside accessible switches allow the choice of mode of operation, Baud rate, termination and network bias.

In the 2 wire-network operation is the observance of a certain polarity of both wires not necessary, provided that this also applies for all the other devices used in the network. Both interfaces are free of potential compared with the signal processing (microcontroller) lying in between.

The modem DataMod11 is suited for the application in connection with controllers of the classes TROVIS 5100, 5400 and 5500 as well as SOL3 and WPR3.

It allows the data transfer between a distant building control system and controllers of the called class on public telephone networks. Furthermore sending an error message via for Short Message Service (SMS) to a mobile phone is possible, as far as the controller supports this function.

In addition, the device contains an integrated network splitter which allows that several controllers in a building or network can be reached by only one common phone connection. The device includes two independent interfaces, according to standard RS-232C and standard RS-485.

The USB Converter 3 allows a conversion of an USB interface (Universally Serial Bus) on one of the following interfaces:

The Datalogging module allows the recording of data of a controller of the series in 5500 as well as SOL3 and WPR3. It is accommodated in a RJ45 plug, and is simply pocketed in the designated jack of the controller. It starts immediately recording with default settings.

The normal control operation is not affected. The front-sided cover of the regulator can be closed by the small construction method also with pocketed Datalogging module.

The offer spectrum encloses overvoltage protection modules for 2-wire and 4-wire networks which were developed especially for the connection by controllers capable of communication with RJ12 plugs.

The module ModBus MBus Gateway extends a regulator of the type SOL3, WPR3 and similar devices by a RS485 interface free of potential and the comfortable binding of heat meter, stream meter and water meter with MBus interface.

The ModBus MBus Gateway can work in the state alone operation without connected controller and serves thus for the binding of heat meters with MBus interface to modern building control systems. For this mode of operation all necessary settings can be carried out with the software 5012Config as well as the heat meter data be selected.

Operation of the ModBus-MBus-Gateway: data from up to 6 meters configured are read cyclically via MBus from meters and stored in an internal memory of the ModBus-MBus-Gateway. A control system can read the last temporarily stored meter data via Modbus from the ModBus-MBus-Gateway.

The module ModBus TCP Gateway extends a controller of the type TROVIS 5573, 5576 und 5579 as well as SOL3, WPR3 and similar devices by a comfortable useable ethernet (LAN) interface.

All Modbus RTU function codes supported by the controllers are available.

Ethernet interface is situated on the bottom side as RJ45 jack.

Direct connection to the controller are alternativ:

• two-wire RS-485 network connector (RJ12) and
  two pole screw terminal
• TTL connector (RJ45)
• RS-232 connector (RJ45)

The Modbus I/O module is designed to use with a 2-wire RS-485 ModBus for detecting and setting of inputs and outputs.

It allows communication as standalone device with a building control system or as an extension to the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) TROVIS 5571 and the single room controller TROVIS 5572.

The bus parameters, baud rate, bias and terminator is selectable for RS-485 interface via Dil-switch.

The Modbus I/O has 4 fixed, potential-free relay contacts - binary outputs (BA) - and 6 configurable inputs or outputs.
